Good morning! If your current blood type is Leftover Ham, we see you. We are you.
Currently sitting at 40% coffee, 60% ham and 0% ready for a Tuesday that feels like a Monday. But, we do have a dose of 100% positive news for you.
📰 What You Might Have Missed
History’s New Headquarters: The African American Museum of Bucks County announced it will officially open this spring. Its permanent home will be in the renovated 18th-century Boone Farm in Middletown Township. The site is a victory for black history and local preservation. We love a win-win!
Collegiate Excellence: Bucks County Community College had a mammoth week. Their student-run newspaper, The Centurion, just swept the Student Keystone Media Awards with 18 wins. And the college’s floral design program took home a bronze medal at the 2026 Philadelphia Flower Show. I mean c’mon, is there anything Bucks can’t do?
Canal Walks Return: The Friends of the Delaware Canal kicked off their seasonal walking series in March. Dozens of residents turned out for the first two early spring treks from Bristol through Falls Township. This will run (walk?) through May and you too can enjoy the blooming scenery along the towpath by joining up with the lively bunch.
🥎 Local Sports
Falcons Fly High: Pennsbury Softball faced off against North Pocono this past Saturday. The weather was perfect and the Falcons got the W (7-1). Thank you North Pocono for making the long drive down! Full transparency, I’m partial to Pennsbury since my nieces are on the team.
Pickleball Fever Still Raging: And for the adults looking to get active, Mercer Bucks Pickleball Club Spring Leagues are currently active or forming new "Ladder" sessions. They have specific registrations for Ladies' Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Men's Ladder leagues.
🤝 Community Investment
Soil Over Subdivisions: Bedminster just added another 45 acres to the “preserved” column. The Wisler Farm is officially staying a farm. That mean this stretch of road won’t turn into another residential development (or Wawa).
Blue Zones Assessment: Senator Steve Santarsiero is hosting a "Blue Zones" community event this Wednesday at 7pm at the Bucks County Community College. He’ll be sharing a report on how to make the area a "Blue Zone" (regions known for longevity and health). If you also want to live to 100, you could start with joining the Canal walkers (or pickle ballers) above.
A Fresh Start in Penndel: The County Commissioners just gave a green light to expand housing and support services at CO-MANS Inc. If you aren’t familiar, they do great work helping neighbors build the skills they need to live independently. It’s a quiet (but big) win for our local social safety net.

Regina from Fairless Hills shared this proud eagle taking in the scenery (while also becoming the scenery - magnificent really). You can see their huge nest right off route 13 at the Tyburn Road exit.
Have a great Tuesday, see you Thursday morning!
With love,
From Bucks
